Tony

Tony is a well known musician living in Port Coquitlam B.C.

Tony started playing guitar in Manchester, England at the age of 12 and formed his first band at 16.
At that time the British invasion bands were just breaking through and he found himself on the same circuit as some of the big name acts.
Bands that Tony opened for included: ‘Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders’, ‘The Sweet’, ‘Brian Johnson’s Geordie’ (who later joined AC/DC as lead vocalist), ‘Lou Christie’, ‘The Searchers, “The Four Pennies’ with their number one hit “Juliet”, ‘The Casuals’ with their number one hit “Jasmine”, and later in the 1970's, 'Black Sabbath' with Ozzy Osbourne on vocals. Tony’s original British group disbanded after 5 years. He subsequently gigged around England with various other organizations before immigrating to Canada in 1975 where he formed the ‘Jukebox Hero’s Party Band’, with whom he still performs occasionally. In 1998 Tony began a new venture when he formed Canada’s premiere ABBA tribute band ‘Arrival’. Today, Arrival still travels throughout the world playing sold out shows in theatres and casinos. But for Tony, the traveling and absence from family took its toll and he eventually left the successful band he started. Although he remains in close contact with Arrival’s members both past and present, he simply chose to slow down and
have a bit of fun after many hard years on the road.

That's where Brickyard comes in.
After being invited to try out for them on Bass guitar which is a new venture for him.
He was asked to join the band and quickly accepted.
Tony looks forward to seeing Friends Old and New at the future Brickyard shows. Website for the Abba tribute band ‘Arrival’ founded by Tony: www.tributetoabba.com
